Bill has kindly given me permission to show you these screenshots of the Mighty "R" Class in its first Beta form.
These Screens were taken on "Tehachapi". My Favourite route for testing engines.
The last 2 screen's help to give an impression of the test conditions. The load is 500t of Overland coaches. Just before this curve the speed limit drops to 30 mph and into the curve the Gradient increases to average 2% with a short pinch at 3%. She made it, but it was a struggle. 100% throttle, 75% reverser and the injectors going flat chat.
What a sound that would have made in real life!!!!!
