Three's a charm... in train colllisions...

this was a terrible accident,at least no one was killed in what could have been tragic,I guess we will have to wait and see what the NTSB comes up with in their report!
 
Sems they need AI Trainz ... where when an upcomming wheelset on the tracks is causing an electrical continuity between rails, acting as a short circuit, causing signals to show Red, and in Cab automatic braking when running a Red signal.
 
Maybe there was some kind of malfunction with the first train, causing it to stop like it did.

But why didn't any of the signals change to red? Or perhaps the crew of the 2nd train weren't paying attention and rear-ended the first one.

I'd be interested in reading the NTSB report when it comes out.
