This is less a trainz question and more a trains question

From my local hobby store I bought a nice new black Amtrak GG1. Then I begun to wonder(since my lay out will have this thing hauling freight).
Did at any point any of the Amtrack black GG1's pull freight ever? I cannot seem to get a straight answer from rail buffs here. So I figure I would let you guys try at it.

Probably rarely, as Amtrak is a passenger railway, created by the U. S. Government.

During the end of service when they were PC & CR almost all the remaining GG1's pulled freight until they were scraped.

Amtrak could only run passenger trains on other railroads track and would never run freight.
