This is a really cool idea...

Hmm, allthough fun, I don't see much you can't do allready with a Wacom tablet.

And scrolling with chopsticks, come on, I don't even eat with those and I love Chinese food. :hehe:

I'd rather see a controller/beer wrap that keeps my bottle cold while I can still control the game! (Idea submitted to all you geniuses out there.)

When I see these things I can't help but think that the lie detector will be obsolete soon - They will throw your thoughts onto a big screen ....

Okee, two out of three, a controller and a beer wrap, but does it keep cool, hmm, I wonder. :D

Also preorder I presume... :hehe:

It doesn't have a chance to get warm if ya drink it as fast as I do.:hehe:

Certainly unsual and fun but does it have any use say on Trainz?

I was thinking that possibly for steam drivers. They could reach out and virtually control the throttle, whistle, etc.

Laying track or using it in Surveyor would be a bit awkward though. Although it's all gestures which most likely be customized.

For Driver, it might be another way to interact with engine controls. There could be an issue with arm fatigue. Really control levers also provide some level of support that their virtual counterparts will not have. Plus, the mouse / keyboard is for more than just motion control, there are also many commands that have to be given.

As for Surveyor, I'm not so sure. Apart from the command issue previously mentioned, there is the need for very fine motion control. I don't see being able to maintain that for very long while keeping my arms suspended in mid-air. Fatigue will be a really big factor. Once the novelty wears off, this appears to be more of a solution looking for a problem than an answer to a need.

My brother and I were talking about this yesterday. He's the one that sent me the link initially. I agree fatigue would be a big player and as he said drawing long sweeping arcs is much easier with support and little arm motion. In some cases, such as my own, I would be trembling all over the place so nothing would be straight no matter what I did in Surveyor.

Anyway. This has been interesting seeing the different comments on a device like this.
