So edit environment, select Golden October sky, I like that.

Okay, so save, exit surveyor, fire up the session to play!

Back to that default blue sky. :'( So what's the trick to getting the sky selection to actually STICK and see it in the session?

Changing skies can be temperamental. When I mean to change skies I always load the route via 'edit session' and save using 'Save As' to be sure I get a newly written route and session. That way I get the new sky. Mostly...

Hmm, skies, dates and other environmental settings are most likely set in the session files for a route, so as Dermmy said your best bet is to always use edit session for any building in surveyor on an existing route and or session. Personally I allways create a base session for every new route and use that for further editing. Also all dedicated sessions you want to make in a later stage can be derived from that base one later on.

Well, that's what I'm doing, open a session for edit, edit environment, save as with a different name, default sky again. I'll try opening the route, save as a new route and session, see what that does. If I understand what you're saying, the sky choice can only be saved in the session layer of the route? In which case you're stuck with whatever sky you choose for any session for that route?

Hmm, could this be a ts12 thing? If so, better ask in the special section for this version. ;)

@aardvark1: Hmm, beter let Bruce reread his Armageddon script, just in case. :hehe:

Nope, this is in TS2010. And apparently that's it, edit environment, select sky, set up ambient and sun colors for different times of day, "Save new route and session" everything else grayed out. Whatever session you create for the route after that uses the environment created/modified for the route's session layer. I assumed you could set up different skies and ambient lighting for each session individually, don't look like it.
