Editor's Note: I just want to let the viewers know that this series is meant to put a fictional spin on the "transition era." This is NOT a series for those who claim to be "rivet counters." I hope that you will set your railroad encyclopedias down for a while to enjoy these vids.

Thank you.

This is based off of New York Central 3001's story of survival to a degree.

Initially, the 3001 was destined for the scrap yard, due to the management of the New York Central System at the time. Many employees, didn't want to have the 4-8-2 scrapped, so they would hide her in a roundhouse behind old parts and boxes. It's to their credit, that the mighty 3001 survives into the modern age of American railroading. Maybe one day, she may apply the former New York Central (now CSX) rails.

Nice!!!

Just got done watching part three. Very Nice job you got. I am suprised someone was able to make an action series out of trainz.

Series note:
To bad 3124 couldnt save the 19. I honestly felt a little sad when he couldnt save him.

So, the NYC K-11 was towed away by a diesel to the smelting area? Wow. That's really sad, especially because the 4-8-2 felt a special kinship with that 4-6-2.

off topic

PereMarquette1225Fan, only yesterday I went to the NYC Railroad Museum in Elkhart, Indiana, and the sign next to the 3001 said that a Texas & Pacific engine was in a park in Texas, and it was scrapped. So the people of that town wanted a new train on their park, so they bought the 3001 from the NYC and cosmetically altered it so it would look like a Texas & Pacific 4-8-2. Eventually the NYC Railroad Museum leased it from them for 100 years. It is really cool at that museum though, they let you climb inside all of the stuff there and they have an air line hooked up to the horn of the E8 they have there so you can honk the horn.

good video,so far,it is sad to see #19 go like that, but that 4-8-2 is incredibly determind to survive, amazing!;)

Now how did you do the ending ? And the F-4 Pamtom II fighters attacking the train...how did you get those special effects in Trainz ?

The F-4's were imposed onto the scene with an animation program called "Poser." The special effects were done with "Combustion."

end of part 3 what is that music, I have heard it before.

a lot of the music is from "The Lion King - Orchestral Score." But I've also got music from the Ace Combat Series and other places.

Truemac, once I heard you were using music from the Ace Combat series I immediately noticed where the music in the beginning came from... Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War. It's the music from the briefing screen. (Also, I thing somewhere you should find a place for the music from the Ace Engagements).

Seeing How much CSX hates Steam, Even there own History, That'd be something to see, BUT, seeing as the New York City Transit Authority Owns half of the old Water Level Route, And Amtrak Owns the other Half, Running 3001 from Harlem To Albany Wouldn't be out of the question... and maybe up to buffalo =D But We'd have to Bust through walls of GEVO's to get there.. Aaron, Cue those Fighter Jets again... =P

EDIT: At least I think Amtrak Owns it, If CSX or CPR owns it, They Certainly Don't Run on it Enough to Show.

A tale about a steamer trying to stay alive as it is on the run is a heart warming tale indeed. With the help of other steam engines and smaller diesel switchers, this one mighty steamer that refuses to suffer the scrappers torch is vigorus.

This mohawk isn't just some steamer, no sir he is... the fugitive!:hehe:

I'm going to listen to stayin alive now.

"plays stayin alive by bee gees"

I just saw part 4. It was AWSOME! But come on. Is there going to be a hudson from the NYC with 3 other steam engines that join forces?:o

part 5 will probably come out either by the end of this week or early next week. I will say, that the final part is gonna be a real thriller!
