The Lymehurst branch - new route

Hi all,
Been creating this route the past couple of days, now just a question of filling in all of the scenery. It is inspired by the Lymington SWT branch in Southern England and takes roughly 10 minutes to traverse - just under the Lymington route time.

just after the pier station lies the junction with the former connecting line to Portsmouth - this bits completely fictional. The Lymehurst Southern Railway Trust has purchased the old goods yard and a small section of line out of town and restored it as a small operating museum. In this route, Isle of Wight 483001 was never scrapped and now spends its days being hauled up and down this line by a Ruston shunter, carrying passengers to the other end of the working section just under a mile away at the post preservation Mill Farm Halt.

The first few metres out of the museum yard are double track but this wasn't feasable for the whole rebuilt section and this part is now used as storage for stock.

Just after Mill Farm halt the line ends and the abandoned route of the line continues, now used as farm access to a haybarn.

Back on the Network Rail line, about 7 minutes into the journey the line passes the abandoned halt at Thatch.

Shortly after, it arrives in the town of Brackford, where it joins the main line

I would like to release this line on the DLS but many of the textures used in it are from Modula City. Is it still possible?

haha, yes I know the third rail goes by the platform there. Its an abandoned station, so the trackwork could have been altered since its closure, not needing to consider passengers.
I think I'll change it anyway though.

Its still a huge no no in the Southern Rulebook! :)
The only exception I know to the rule, is at Eastleigh, but thats because you are in a difficult position, gap a train or continue the con rail? Gapping is just as hazardous as keeping it there, because of the pointwork.

EDIT, other small details I noticed, not stopping the con rail short of the blocks and no conrail ramps, yes, I know where there is yet another exception, that is platform 3 at Barnham, only so that drivers can walk across the tracks into the sidings, so there is a cutout, about the width of a human leg.

Conductor rail ramps are where the con rail starts so the shoes on the train, if too low, run up the rail instead of hitting it full on.

Stagecoachdriverdave: Thats a real nice looking route you've got there - well done! I'm assuming its for '06 as you're using the Blue-Grey reskin of my CIG - which is for '06 only and consequentially I haven't used as I stick to '04!

Nice to see my CIG getting another workout though. Vivid imagination there running it on the same route as my 483!

Anyway, reminds me to post a shot of the DTC (which I don't think I posted on this forum - apologies if I have already)

I've got some adjustments to make so here's a reminder before I mess it up! :p

Your CIG is a lot further advanced than my CEP, which after several projects later, still looks like this:

Although, the 2EPB is actually in better condition, as it actually does work for a living! I can guess that SCDD wants a HAP, after all, apart from a minor mod on the underframe on the DMBS (which are otherwise identical), all I need to do, is convert the DTS into a DTCL.
