THE EASTER EGG!

Just out of curiosity, does anyone really make use of the Easter Egg in TRS2004 (I'm not sure whether it is also inTRS2006).

You know the one. Alt-MMMG (Make Me a Map George). It completely landscapes a baseboard or series of baseboards.

It's a way to do it quickly, but the landscapes are a bit wild! Especially if you are a bit slow with the Esc key!

Who has ever made a complete layout this way?

Ian

George didn't move to TRS2006

Dave
As far as I know George had an accident when 2006 came out and was taken over by "AMMP" :hehe:

I am not sure of the keys to use but my little note about this has CTRL/ALT beside it with START as well.

so your saying hold control and hit M M M then G?

how does the ESC key comeinto it? does it keep reshaping things until you hit ESC?

sounds interesting

It's ALT-MMMG. Best to start on a new layout. It will create hills, valleys, ground textures, trees and shubs. Letting it run will only create new interations but will not clutter the board. Press ESC when you see that layout you want to use.

If you're in TRS2004 Surveyor hold ALT while typing MMMG then hit ESC to stop it. The for an additional effect hold ALT while typing the phrase lucyinthesky

Can you say psychedelic?

Hi Ian
Cockayne, my first uploaded layout, was built using MMMG though it was re profiled in some areas, far from perfect but I would still consider it worth a look at to see what this facility can deliver

Does it do the same thing?

Classics has it but it is changed, I forget the keycode offhand but there is a topic on this forum if you search for it. You also find a mention of it in the Classics CCG, name was changed from George to something else. The keycode listed for Classics is short one M through.

I am sorry every one, the night before I wrote the above must have very bad for me :hehe:

The is a thread some where about this but George is not in 2006 or TC. I tried yesterday to see if my memory was working.

The new code is AMMP or AMMMP plus some of the keys I mentioned. I tried yesterday but nothing worked so now I am not to sure.

I will see what I can find for everyone.

Craig, that's it, Shift + Ctrl + Alt and AMMMP.
Hit Esc to stop.
Ground textures take longer to draw. Also if you do more then one baseboard, the area you look at gets textured better than others, don't know why.
