The best I have actually seen would be the UP Northern (844) and Challenger double header to the opening of the Sacramento Railroad Museum. I saw it from the air and ground.
Number two would be the bi-centenial Freedom Train with SP 4449.

There are 2 for me, one would be the Southern Railway's Ps4, which pulled the Crescent Limited, and the other is the American 4-4-0 that was in Railroad Tycoon!

Southern Railway (US) 2-8-0 #401, Monticello Railway Museum.
Why?
Alot of hard work has been put into her, many of my friends are the ones working on her.

D&RGW k-27 464

why

this engine had been run to death and sat in durango for many years until knotts berry farm bought it restored it converted it to oil and ran it for a year until they realized it was to big for the curves and sold it to the huck hear in MI where it was restored again converted back to coal went down for repairs again in the 90s until now and is currently running in excellent condition since 06 or 05:D
