After sleeping on the couch for several weeks (No kidding there) I've decided to dip my toes back into the water here. I still have issues with the way some of the forums have been going, from the treatment of new players requests (ranging from disdain to out right ridiculing) to some problems I had with people wanting a route I was building built to their own specifications. That compounded with other issues that have been building for some time, drove me away from this forums.

However it was at the behest of Rasputin (who is actually my girlfriend...don't ask about the nickname) I'm going to give it another go. There is a huge project I am working on, and while I can't give you pictures, I can at least say a bit about what I'm doing. I'm not building the route myself, though I will upload it for her when it's complete. The route in question is a special mining line named "Black Mountain" and will feature about twenty miles of track. Set in the desert, the route is unique in that the line itself interchanges with the BNSF and UP. However you will NEVER see a BNSF, or UP locomotive on the line. This mine railroad is gauged for 5 feet, and typically runs russian stock (found at trainzup.com and trainz.ru).

Right now, I'm working closely with Ras to reskin and regauge a handful of existing american styled cars to run on the line, as well as working out the technical details to make the two (yes TWO) kickback/rotary coal dumpers work properly. As it is, the rotary works fine, but the kickback keeps derailing the cars.

As before however, I will not suffer fools. Meaning that if I start getting a hard time about the route, the content, or any previous projects, I will close up shop and not tell you when or where to find the Black Mountain when it finishes. That is, if it is uploaded at all.

In short, be civil, and I promise you will get this unique route before long.

Welcome back Magick, I have recently returned to the forums and all I can say is you are building the asset primarily for your own personal use and also to share with others. Taking that into account you do it to how YOU want it and not others.

I have noticed over the last couple of days since being back there is a couple of 'newer' members that are demanding assets to be built to their way, if anyone says anything like that to me if/when I make a thread of anything I am making I will respond with what I just said, it is for ME and not them. If they want it done to their way they should go and make it themselves.

Well, that's my rant over, welcome back again and looking forward to more info on your project.

Nathan
