Surveyors tabs to open

Can anyone please tell me why my tabs in surveyors take so long for them to open up it's a pain

I'm guessing it's related to the number of assets of each type that you have installed on your machine. I have TS2010 on a laptop that only has built-in locos and the Trainz tab (F7) slides out in about a second. On my desktop I have several 1000s of locos and it takes 5 or 6 seconds to pop out. I think it might be due to Trainz having to build the list of assets and load all the thumbnail images when you click the tab. But that's just a guess.

I don't know i do not have that much contents but it take about 20 min for it to open for 2010 and in 2006 it is fast to open i just understand how come it can be that slow but it has been that way cents i downloaded it

Have you patched to the latest version (44088) ? If so this thread might be relevant:

That said, 20 Min (did you mean 20 seconds?) seems a long time.

Have you tried running an extended database repair in Trainz and then a disc defrag in Windows? These will take a while (leave the PC alone and just let them run) but they might help, as may a general "cleanup" of temporary and other unwanted files from your PC.
