I have TRS2006 but I would like to offer assistance...I still think that Surveyors Operators & Engineers thread is a perfect place to post a new topic on just "Tracklaying, Curves & Gradients". Also this forums IM is a great way to get almost instant answers to any questions. Yahoo IM is instantanious conversation, and help is moments away.
There is a track height up/down button where you drag the mouse and where you can lift the track.
There also is in Surveyor/Topography there is a place where you can type in the track height, or gradient, and apply that numeral you type in.
Most mainline gradients are much less than 2%.
Some branchlines gradients are in excess of that, and have much tighter curves like: "FT 15 Degree 60m Radius". I belive the Horseshoe Curve is the equivilent of a: "FT 15 Degree 200m Radius"
