Sulfuric acid train derails and spills

If this needs to be moved, I'm happy for that to be done. I just thought it might be of interest to others who are interested in railways.
This is pretty big news here in Australia. Not sure if it is filtering in to other countries with all of the other stuff that is happening around the world.
There was a derailment of a train carrying sulfuric acid a few days ago. The accident has happened in a very isolated area in outback Queensland.
This is the latest article on it that I can find.

It is discussing how the amount of acid has been shown to be significantly more than was first thought.
Now over 800,000L up from 200,00L

Looks like only 31,000 spilt so far, Why do the railways out here continue to operate with monsoonal conditions just days before or during and they drive straight over a washout. Surely they must have crews out assessing the line during these conditions but obviously not LOL. Aurizon will take a huge hit for this one.
Cheers Mick.

Haven't figured out yet what they had in mind with the "rail news" section, so moved it to "prototype talk" for now as that as where a lot of these posts hang out.
Going to ask about the "rail news" section.

I wish here in Britain they would stick to imperial weights and distances and legally no reason why not! When i see things like litres or kilometers, etc I just go, duh!
