Finally solved the stuttering in TRS2006:
Intel Core 2 CPU 6300 1.86ghz
2 Gig Ram
Radeon X1650 512meg
Windows XP SP3
DirectX 9.c
3D SETUP IN CATALYST CONTROL CENTER:
AA 4x
AF 4x up to 8x
Cat AI Standard
Mipmapping Quality
1280x1026 32bit
Resource Cache 32
No Shadows
Okay an old system by today’s standards but still does the business.
I was getting a fair amount of stuttering in game however I discovered that whilst in a DRIVER session if I ALT+TAB back to desktop then opened the CATALYST CONTROL CENTER and increased or decreased AF slider by 1 unit, APPLIED and then pressed ALT+TAB back into TRS2006 the stuttering had miraculously stopped and the graphics were very smooth
I don’t know why this works but it works for me. I have tried OpenGL , setting the frame rate increasing cache etc but to no avail.
Might work for you if you have an ATI card or similar system.
