Stuck on signal

On the route I am doing the AI trains sometimes get stuck on a signal in different places for no apparent reason. The switch is in the right direction, the line is well clear and there is no breaks in the track and the only way is to remove the signal and the train will then carry on. when it happens it results in trains backing up behind it. Can you help with this please. I am using uk number 4 signals.

Yes, happens on all my routes with different signal types. If I put the mouse pointer over the signal (when red) it usually says "unsignaled ahead" or points to a different signal elsewhere that has a spinning indicator circle. I assume most customers do not have this condition so I have been trying various settings in the program but no positive results. Happens on commercial routes as well so it is not likely something the routes author did. The speculation is that the program is using this as a delay to recalculate the AI actions for the path of the trains.

Pretend it is happening due to "traffic" on the route. In my case the signal goes green in a few seconds or up-to a minute.

okay bud thanks for that, I tried telling it to go to a track mark just past the junction and it seemed to work but I havent tried it on any others that get stuck yet.
