Straightening Roads

Hello...

There's a tool for straightening track, which is extremely useful. But there isn't one for straightening roads (or is there?). I've tried a couple of methods. Attaching a piece of invisible road seems to work, also I've tried placing a spline point very close to the road segment to be straightened, then dragging the nearby spline point until the segment is straight - which makes the curve next to it look funky. Does anyone have any other methods I haven't encountered?

HA! I just did a search on the subject and came up with this gem from 2008 by magicmaker:

"Another way, is to actually go into the track editing mode, select the track straightening tool, and click on the fence.

Works good for roads too."

Gol darn, I'll have to go through my layouts with this new knowledge!

To straighten a road try using the rail track straightener.

Presumably you have not patched your TS12 because the straitening tool is now in both track and spline modes under options at the bottom of the panel.
