Here are the photos from my 2012 trip up in the upper Great Plains. I traveled over 4500 miles this trip, which is nothing, and only saw a decent storm up in the Lignite area of North Dakota. Most of the other days were spent traveling across Montana and between potential spots. There are some train pictures here and there. In particular on July 10th, I was in the Shelby area. I then made it to Havre, but didn't get any pictures that day. (stupid me). There were other occasions like that too when I wish I had my camera out and ready!
On this trip, we started and ended in Rapid City, SD. We traveled through eastern Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota as far east as Glasgow, and a little bit into Minnesota.
