Stopping Loose Consists On A Hill

Hey guys. I'm having a bit of trouble with TRS 06 in Driver. Loose consists do not have handbrakes as in MSTS (brakewheel). I can't secure loose consists on slight grades if I uncouple them. They'll just roll away. Is there any way to brake loose consists? I'm running in CAB mode.

If it starts to roll, click on consist and hit s a. I think the way the handbrakes work in TRS2006 is 100 times better than in that other game. Just hit A before uncoupling in DCC mode. If you hit A 2 times, it releases the handbrakes.

...this works for me...

8) Yes, hit the "A" key, then go to the last car(or locomotive) in the movement your on, turn the view to place your train on the right, then click the "Uncouple Toggle," place your cursor on the coupler, when you see a red knuckle, click until it opens.

You can also use the Message Toggle, to read the acknowledgement that the "pin is pulled."

It seems that placing the parked cars to the left, places the knuckle in the correct direction.

It is essential to use the "A" key to make the brake application occur, so the brakes are set.

Also, I think that you can just apply the Air brakes on the cars before you uncouple the locomotive(s). Be sure to cut enough air to keep the cars from rolling.
