Stop Smoking!

I want to stop the smoke effect from Tafweb's suburban houses, specifically Suburban House 4. I can't see how to do it, as I don't see any lines in the config files regarding smoke. Can anyone help me become smoke-free please?

For Suburban House 4 remove these lines from the config file;

smoke1 {

You can do the same for other items by removing the smoke blocks. (I've noticed some of them have up to 8 smoke effects which must impact framerates a bit).

Its also a good idea to Clone the house and alter the clone, then add "No Smoke" to the title so you have the original if you need it.

Bear in mind that if you intend to upload the map, no-one else will have the cloned houses, so you'd have to ask permission to upload your version. If you just change those lines in the original, everyone else will just get the smoke back...

It is a good point. With CMP you can select 'Revert to original' and it will undo any changes you made to restore the object to how it was when you installed as well.

I now discover that I did everything properly, made a clone, removed the smoke lines from the config, and then ruined everything by not renaming it!

You're still all right. The clone has your userID, so just do a search on your content. Names don't mean anything to Trainz.

Thats one of the benefits of cloning - if you screw up you still have the original.(Cue cloning jokes)
