Steam versions of Trainz

As a Steam user myself, I question what happened to TS2009 and TS2010 from the Steam store. Simulator Central is clearly still selling these games, so why were they removed from Steam? If you kept both of them to be available, you guys would be making extra cash (don't know about the extra expenses from steam, but hey it's more money rolling in). Hell i'd buy 2010 again because I purchased the Duchess via Steam, but didn't know it won't drop a .ja anywhere to transfer to another version of the game.

Also, as another way to get revenue, why don't you guys put Trainz Mac on Steam? I've seen some posts on the steam forums in the past about Trainz not being compatible with Mac.

I'd appreciate a response.

Cheers

P.S. Please no hating on steam in this thread. This isn't a topic about DRM or the ability to "own" games, Steam isn't going down any time soon so that argument isn't really valid at this point.

Question 1 :- Why did you buy it on 'Steam', when you could buy it direct from N3v/Auran ?
................ was it because you could get it cheaper ?

Question 2 :-
I purchased the Duchess via Steam, but didn't know it won't drop a .ja anywhere to transfer to another version of the game.
.... then maybe you should be taking your complaint to 'Steam', because THEY should have informed purchasers of this problem with software THEY were selling.

You get what you pay for in this life, not everything you buy is going to be a 'bargain'.

It was $2 or something, I'm not really complaining. I already brought it to Steams attention months ago, they added a notice that you must have the Steam copy of TS12 for it to run shortly after my issue.

I'm more interested in the reason for the removal of TS2009 and TS2010, not really this whole Duchess thing. I brought up the Duchess as an example to purchase TS2010 again if I wanted to.

Maybe it was 'Steam' that discontinued sales of 2009/2010 because they weren't making any profit from them, so your question should still be
directed at the 'Steam' store, if they say N3v pulled them, then is the time to question N3v. ;)

But beware, because everyone always tries to "pass the buck" for their own shortcomings, 'Steam' are no different.

While I could contact Steam Support, they usually don't respond to inquires like these. I'll wait until someone from N3V says something before I contact steam.
