Where to post and where to look - thatis the question. I have just pre-ordered 2010 and reloaded 2006 after an absense of some years only to find not a single SR loco in the Railyard. I would like to acquire two or three representative locos such as a County Class, a 4-4-0 T9, a 4-6-0 N15 , an M7 or perhaps a 4-4-0 Schools Class. Really anything in greeen puffing smoke that came out of Waterloo and passed through Wimbledom heading for the West.
I would be grateful if anyone could point me in the right firection as how and where to start my search.

How about Pauls Trainz? He has some SR trains too? Or are you looking for only freeware?

M7, N15 and Schools are on the DLS. SR County? Surely you are not suggesting a takeover of the SR by the "Great Way Round" (retires to bunker and puts on flack jacket :) ). Both County classes were GWR. Bulleid locos would be too late itareus. A T9 would be very welcome however, plus a Nelson.

Damn - out by two years! You are correct of course, the first batch of Merchant Navy's did not appear until 1941....

Cheers

Chris (3rd generation GWR man).

PS: We did take over the Southern (West of Exeter) I seem to recall and then closed most of it. It was still the GWR then even if it was called BR Western Region!

I was thinking SRSR 4-6-2 West Country Class also known as the - forgot the all important 'R' You are also right that this class was actually post WW2.

I have a few locos you may need, all for TS2009/TS2010 of course.

SR locos etc here http://www.paulztrainz.myenet.info/inside/SR.htm

More than a few and most interesting are the Ironclad coaches. I'll certainly make contact closer to the arroval of my TRS2010.

I notice that your coaches have faces in the windows. How difficult or possoble is it to have interiors and lit from the inside. I ask becuase when I was building (not very sucessfully) a model of the Chilean Nitrate railways I found that night operation was vastly more impresssive especially passing through small towns. Do your locos have lights and could the coaches hae lit interiors?

I have a feeling y have made purchases from you before. Am I right'

Hi Andrew

Yes you have some Chilean Fairlies of mine, and some Nitrate Mining flats and worker cars, and station from Chile.

How have you been lately ?? Havnt heard a peep for a long while !! Welcome back..

Yes my locos have headlights/sidelights.

Coaches have interiors, passenger enabled, and most with opening doors. They have interior vies too.

Interior lighting for nightime mode can be added, but not standard.

Hi Paul

Yep - the Fairlies and some of yourother kuids are buried deep somewhere in my hard drive.
I've been out mostly writing my 4th novel "Santa Monica Homicide Files" published last month in the US. Now time to get back to TRAINZ. I would be very interested in an SR T9 plus some caiches of the same period 1930.. Probably your ironclads with some internal lighting would be fine. You need to add the T9 to your group as it is a beauty for local suburban traffic.
No hurry but quote me at andrewmuir@fastmail.fm. At present I have TRS2006 installed but obviously I'm interested in TRS 2010.

Andrew

OK Andrew, will email you a quote for those SR Ironclads and T9

GTlad you are back into Trainz, and the models will be good for TS2009 and TS2010 too (tested)

I will look out for your book locally, and get a copy.
