speed to 36kmh

Hi. I am building a relatively big world with a few hundred baseboards, BUT most of the baseboards only have tracks with nothing else on them FOR NOW.
I hacked the duplex TGV to go upto 1200kmh so that I can test the track at super speeds (This is Super fast trains AND freight together corridor).
Very often the AI driving my fast train all of a sudden slows down to 36kmh at any place (most of the time green signal). The speed limit is 500kmh, and a train on the parallel track (going same direction) has no problem going max speed.
The messages windows shows nothing relevant.
Why is the AI slowing down this much?

Also is anyone interested in taking a look at my route? I can share it.

AI are programmed to have a maximum speed on certain track angles. Basically, if a track is too tight to "safely" go around at a high speed, the driver will slow down. Your parallel track could have SLIGHTLY wider curves which for AI drivers, does make a massive difference. Drivers will also slow down when near signals, regardless of whether it is green or not. This is to ensure that if a signal IS set to red, they are ready to stop.

However, you mention that the train is slowing to 36kmh when approaching signals that are most of the time green. Does this mean it is passing and ignoring red signals?

It's not ignoring red signals. Rather for absolutely no reason, at a random place, a certain AI train will slow down to 36kmh at a green light, making every train behind it slow.

The "good thing" is that you are not the only one with this problem, and the bad, is that even if I and others have made noise, no one has come out with a real explanation nor a solution...
