Speed signs

Still plays with Trainz
In most of my scenarios I use Script control to run trains that are not under operator control. However I am now in the process of creating a scenario which is fully automated but the engine is under Autopilot control in order to make use of signals along the way. My dilemma is this: I have placed invisible speed signs along the route and have discovered that sometimes the train changes speed as soon as the engine reaches the speed sign but at other times the engine does not change speed until the entire train has passed the speed sign. Can anybody explain this erratic behavior and how one can correct it?

Thanks.
Gary

The way this normally works is that if the speed is higher the speed will not increase until the last car has passed the spot. If lower the speed will decrease immediately upon reaching the spot. Check that out and see if it is what is happening.

That's right, the lowest limit always applies, but if a long train straddles two speedboards (i.e. three speed zones) Trainz can sometimes get confused.
