SP1 for TS12 will not install

Installed Trainz 12 and when run it prompted me that there was a patch available, 46957 to 47059. Program currently shows as 46957. When it tries to apply the patch it fails saying it cannot find some temporary files. Manually downloaded patch and tried to apply running as Aministrator it still fails with same message. I have TS2009 and TS2010 already installed and have had no problems patching them when requred. Running Window 7 64 bit. Gigs of spare disk space and 8 gig memory. Any clues.

Addedfiles.txt, deletedfiles.txt and patchedfiles.txt are the file names.

Temporary directory where they are supposed to be does not exist either.
Patch program points to the right path to TS12.

Did you remember to reinstall after the first failed patch?

Have reinstalled a couple of times. As administrator and not. Same result each time. Messages put out be Auran Patcher

Hi,

Your patching from the "E:\" drive?

Is that a CD/DVD drive - or an internal hard disk? (normally D:\ & E:\ are optical drives)

You may need to follow the old 2006 patching procedure of copying the patch exe to the same drive as the Aruan installation.

I guess it's possible that the patch file is trying to create the files (from a compressed format) and if it can't write them, then the patching process can't read them....

Several partitions spread across 3 disks

I have the following partitions spread across 3 drives. C,D and E on one. I on another. J,K and L on another. Three terrabytes in total.
I have my system set up to use the E: drive to store all temporary files, windows system ones as well as others.
My games are all stored in the D partition.
Makes no diffrence where I put the patch file.

Shouldn't make any difference where the patcher is, I usually install from a networked PC.

If you haven't I'd suggest downloading the patch again, I assume you are running the patch as administrator by right click run as Administrator?
