Southern Bell kcs SD70Ace

Damn dude. I don't know who you think you are but learn yer place and have a little damn respect for the creators. Be glad he is even releasing this unit for you to enjoy.

Looks good Frank!

(I actually like the K5LLA you have on it. It sounds very close to the real thing.)

007007 has a good point IC. And if you don't like the Hornsound, you can always change it by replacing the hornsound KUID in the config with a different one. (none of my engines had the default Auran horn on my old computer.)

I agree with you 007007, the horn does sound pretty accurate.

i dont think thats the first time illinious has replied that way. These horn sounds wer created by Eddie cxsxsd60 and at the time they were fine. I guess if you dont care for them you can change them out in the cfg. Its easy to do and many people do that.

IC, it's not what you are requesting per se that makes others angry or shocked, it's the way you are requesting it.

Instead of wording it the way you did, why not word it like this?

i) Is there any chance you could release this with an alternate horn? I'm having problems when I try to switch it with another kind (the ARN doesn't work properly).

If you do it like this, you don't sound demanding, unappreciative or picky. Instead, it allows you to make a request in a polite manner and as a benefit, it also allows other people to see your problem and hopefully point out a solution! ^^

Content creators spend hours upon hours upon hours making these things and I think it's only fair to treat them with the respect they deserve. Constructive comments are usually welcomed by most creators too, so long as they are constructive. It's just about the wording but it's so important!

Many members here on the forums are more than happy to help out someone having problems so long as they are humble, patient and polite about it.

As for your particular problem, I've never heard of that particular instance. Switching out horns as far as I know has no impact whatsoever on the ARN. Are you switching out the right KUID and replacing it with the right KUID?

Hope your problem can be fixed.

BTW, the loco looks amazing Frank. You are truly one of the best when it comes to making and skinning locos in this simulator! Thanks for all the hard work you've done (and hopefully will continue to do :hehe: ).

Gisa ^^
p.s. did you finish the KCS SD40-2 ready yet or are you going to make this a double feature for the KCS/trainzers out there? :D

You're right Gisa,
I should not have been so demanding. My apologies to everyone out there, it is your locomotive Frank, not mine, I'm sorry. It is rather nice too.

IC that was very disrespectful. Franks puts time into his work and instead we got people like you complaining all the time. Just my two cents Great 70 by the way SP.

I think it's forgotten to be honest. It's hard to remember that there are real people with real feelings on the other side of our computers but we have to try.

Tact is a very very valuable skill and we can master it, it will open up many many doors for us. There are many people older than me who don't have it at all and many times I wish I had more of it...

Keep the screenies coming if you can Frank. :udrool::mop:

Gisa ^^
