sound

I don't know if this is what you are after or if it is any help but I use various sounds throughout my layouts such as platform announcements and on-board train announcements. I use the "sound trigger" and the "sound collection" assets which you can download from the content manager. I also use a free text-to-speech converter program "ttsmp3.com. Type in your text and select from a number of languages (accents only) and download the audio. Note that trainz audio has to be in ".wav" format so you will need to convert the mp3 file to a wav file. For this, I use the free Audacity program. This will also allow you to set the volume and add effects like echo which sounds great for platform announcements. I also grab sounds from Youtube like onboard aircraft flight announcements when I add aircraft to my layouts. If this is the sort of thing you are after then let me know and I will explain further. Cheers. Norm

But, that would be great to have. I just want more better train sounds. Some freight cars have the sound I like. I look at realistic train sounds, but it does not have any, what am I doing thats wrong?

On non-payware or DLC content, you can add in freight-car sounds to the freight car itself by putting in a sound-container in the bogey.

How do I get there?
You need to clone the bogie used in the freight car you want to make noises and clone the freight car.
Add the sound script container as outlined in the wiki to the bogie config.txt and then update the freight car config.txt with the clone bogie KUID.

I'll let others give you the details but that's pretty much the gist of it.

@longtrainz30 if you wanna see how the custom sounds work in Trainz 22 check my discord channel out in my signature area and use that link to take you to my discord server. Later Tonight I will be live on there and you can watch and ask questions how to make them work feel free to get ahold of me if you need any help via discord....

What time? Would this work on trainz 2019? Because I don't play trainz 2022. (I wish I could play trainz 2022)
