Hello!

my friend gave me Trainz12 as a gift yesterday because I love trains.
It had routes of the Moscow metro included, but when I start a session, it's lots of missing trains, object, etc. EXCEPT Sokolnicheskaya Line Which Runs fine. :) By the way, the people on a Russian forum (have not Moscow metro routes by default, why does my so?

Moreover, I have sound problems, sound quality is very bad and stutters, but not on every route,is this Because Of Excessive sounds?

the included Russian route runs good but very bad stutter (nvidia geforce 310 I think)

and then, what is a serial number?my friend gave me nothing like that so how do I use download station?

PS the dynamics are pretty bad sometimes, Especially With The braking (I work as train driver in Kazan in real life and locomotive brakes Skoda Chs8 much slower)

excuse my bad English

Anna

The serial number would be located on the back of your manual. If you didn't get one, then your copy is illegal and you won't be able to use the DLS or generally get help here, since we can usually see what versions you have registered to you. If you do have one (it should start with ATRZ) then go here:

https://www.auran.com//planetauran/login.php?a=1&LoginRevisit=0

and click the Serial Number link on the left after logging in and register your copy. Keep in mind that there are four different versions of TS12 (although they all function exactly the same), so you need to pick the correct one.

If you do register your version, feel free to post more system details as well. I can tell you immediately that nVidia 310 is a low-end graphics card but you may be able to upgrade or tweak it to work better.

hi and thank you for quick answer.

i not have manual, but it not illegal because my friend got it from a Kazan Metro employee, who gave out copies of trainz to children and people who were interested in Ametyevo metro station yesterday) and a lot of people have it)

where can i get the manual? they only gave out cds :( anyway is it important?

laptop have geforce 310, maybe not possible to upgrade and only think i could afford with my low salary, Tatarstan, Russia has different salary than UK for example

Then the employee gave out illegal copies. He may have meant well, but it's still illegal. Auran won't give you a manual. I'm surprised the software even installed, since you should in theory need a serial number just to do that. But neither you nor any of the other recipients will be able to access the DLS, and most folks here tend not to help people with unregistered copies of Trainz, let alone suspected-pirated versions. Your only real recourse is to purchase a legit copy through this website. However, if it makes you feel a little better, you can think of the give-away the employee handed out as a demo version. :)

hard to believe he break the law (Russia and Tatarstans) since he is from the public transport here. you had to run an exe called "MetroKazan" which installed trainz, several documentaries and a movie about the construction of metro. :) sometimes im proud of my region

i search the internet, why does the "legit" version not offer all these russian trains/metro routes? and the price is a quarter of my monthly salary :(

may i add the executable did not ask for serial?

Well, you might want to contact the Helpdesk and ask them about this. I haven't heard of Auran/N3V creating special versions with specially-named EXE files. Auran does create limited versions with a single route, such as Settle and Carlisle, Murchison 2, etc., but those only include a single route and are not designed to be upgradeable or able to access the DLS anyway. So, even if you got a legal version, I don't see how it would be upgradeable.

FYI, I'm aware of the Kazan Metro route. I have it (it's the Kazan Subway on Metrorus.ru, correct?) The Russian and Polish stuff available for Trainz is some of the best stuff made, so you should be proud. And, while I sympathize with the fact that Trainz would cost such a large percentage of your salary, keep in mind that it's developed in Australia and $49 doesn't buy much over there or here in the U.S. But, on the brighter side of things, keep in mind that you get a lot of use out of Trainz. If you look at the hundreds if not thousands of hours you get out of it, it isn't so bad, especially compared to a lot of other things like going to the movies or drinking.

I should, thank you for the link and advice, but in case it is pirated will i get problems?

good to hear they release those versions, in case our public transportation does have a special version : )) that it not able to upgrade is a pity, but its free atleast

this version of the metro is different than the metrorus version, it has newer trains, more developed and so on. but you should check metrorus.ru moscow metro routes, they are very beautiful and detailed, my favourite route for trainz : ) especially http://metrorus.ru/?p=756 which includes booth train and route

P.S the drinks here are so cheap, and people love to drink!

You're welcome. Howeever, yes, you could have problems. Not so much legal issues, I think, but keep in mind that if it's pirated, it may have come with viruses, trojans or other malicious programs. That's always a risk. The majority of pirated software does contain viruses, even the stuff exchanged by friendly pirates who know each other. That's just something to keep in mind. Thank you as well for the link to that route. I may already have it but if not, I will by tonight! :)

I think I already have viruses haha :) Not from that copy but from other things, in Russia. There is too much virus. But the public transporation dealing with viruses is maybe a little unlikely : ))

And keep in mind there is photos of how to start the train (metrowagonmash 81-717), for correct operation since booth the DCC and Cab mode controls are unrealistic. For some reason, I think the best routes for Trainz in terms of quality, is from Russia. If I'm wrong, I haven't found any good western stuff yet. But railworks is good for that :D

Here is the answer, since you probably wanted to know their reaction:

Personally, I would have labelled it as a high priority - Any sort of illegal distribution of games should be a high priority.

What is the name of the route? Trainz 12 itself does not include any Moscow Metro route that I am aware of. Are there any other routes that come with the game?

I would have set high priority, if I could. I decided to send from email instead in case I could get problems. But I hope they will see my message soon.

The names of the routes are Sokolnicheskaya line, Zamoskvoretskaya line, Circle Line, Koltsevaya Line, Kazan Metro, Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow-Orsha, Sofia-Mezdra, and Balezino-Mosti. In the railyard there are Russian trains, along with Moscow metro wagons. No US/UK stuff was included, but it should have been.

Not to mention the CD contained documentaries, clips etc about Kazan Metro.

Then I can happily say that you are NOT running Trainz12... at all.

The official Trainz 12 does not include any of those routes at aside from one. The Trainz 12 routes are:
1. Balezino - Mosti
2. Debrecen - Nyiregyhaza
3. ECML Kings Cross - Newcastle
4. Mjoave Sub Division
5. Municipal Transit Railroad
6. NEC Wilmington Philadelphia
7. Norfolk & Western - Appalchian Coal
8. Southern China
9. Springfield Industrial District (Mainly used for the tutorials)

Could you, by chance, give us a photo of your Route Menu (Menu that displays all the routes) and the main menu screen of your version of Trainz? It sounds to me like someone has ripped out the database of the original Trainz 12 and replaced it with their content.

To a *CERTAIN* extent (With emphasis on "certain"), that kinda reduces the level of piracy, though another problem arises with the fact that someone has obiviously hacked into the game in order to replace the built-in content - content that should not be able to be removed whatsoever (Your limit should be in being able to disable it which simply hides it)

Transsiberian, that looks really good. I love the Russian and Polish work, so detailed and more advanced.
Where can I get those routes?

@ korikovaVL80, please send me an email with your Russian postal address, perhaps I can help you with getting a legal copy of TS10 and/or TS12. My email address:

hrh1000(at)hotmail(dot)com

Just substitute (at) with "@" and (dot) with "."

Btw beautiful screenshots of the Metro stations and of some of the carriages, inside and out.

Cheers

VinnyBarb

Thank you :)

The screenshots were of the moscow metro, where you interested in them or in the transsiberian route?

The "transsiberian" launcher was already provided when I got the game trainz. I asked the employee and he told me about the project, they are actually developing the transsiberian railway for Trainz, but so far only like 2% completed. I joined the project one week ago. And it is expected to take years.

So far this is what is archieved of the transsiberian:

This is Moscow railway station, note one train has been derailed by default when it was placed there, and the rail has to be improved since the ER2 derails at speeds less than 20 km/h. This will be fixed by tomorrow.

This is the compartment of the transsiberian train, where the user will be able to relax as the train has an "automatic driver" which will comply with speed limits and such when the user is going to leave the computer. But this could take a lot of work and it's not even sure if it will be developed, but when time comes, let's see.

This wagon is not done by me, but it's released at trainzup :)

Currently, our goal is to make a simulator which is impossible to distinquish from the real thing (as you have seen some of the screenshots looks like photographs) and since the route will be so huge there is even talks about making an own simulator with graphics engine. But I'm against it because it will take a lot of work and the framerate/graphics could be worse than in trainz.
