Something you might not have known about Trainz Surveyor...

To find out, go to surveyor and hold ALT and then type WALK(04,UTC) or hold ALT and press Y(09). You can now walk among your virtual Trainz world. Enjoy walking through stations and houses. LOL!

Alt and then type FLY in earlier versions.

Whilst using either the walk or fly options you can also hold down the Ctrl key to "turbo" at what appears to be double the speed of travel.

They are great tools for close up checking when Route building.

Ohh thanks to you Trainzarethebest12, how can i have been all this time without knowing this. WTF we know this since years and many other things. Please dont start threads to do things like this
Just saying

Well, hell. I didn't know. But then some of us (like me) are new to trainz and can learn things posted here. (Unless you are the type that doesn't want newbies to learn anything!)

This is definitely a useful tool that I use all the time when route building.

As mezzoprezzo says they are helpful for looking at the scenery from the simulator view instead of from above which is usually the case in Surveyor. These are also a nice way to test for stutters as the scene moves towards the camera.

They're not Easter Eggs, they're features listed in the keyboard.txt file in your ..N3V Games\TS12\UserData\settings folder. Open the file and scroll down to the Surveyor section, bottom of the first section. Earlier versions also have similar functions listed in their keyboard.txt file.

SMITE and MMMG were fun in UTC, sadly they are gone from TS12

SMITE lightning strike with ground damage after
MMMG auto sculpting of land, texturing, and tree placement (will wipe out anything you already did tho)

Thanks OP and guys.
Perhaps someone can make a list like Shane has for abbreviations to list all the keyboard shortcuts and their actions for all the versions.

One I use all the time... Instead of using the "H" key to blow the horn, I find it easier to use the Numberpad "+" key. Lots faster to find when you suddenly realize you should be tooting your horn!

I forgot about that one and scramble for the "H" key all the time!

SMITE (CTRL+ALT+A) and Make-a-Random-Map (CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+P) work in TS12.

If you look closely at some of the passengers who are reading a paper you can see some of these easter eggs.
Usually headed, man discovers xxxxxx.

Cheers,
Bill69.

Where would this be?

Passengers sitting in a coach. You can often see a man reading a newspaper inside a passenger enabled coach, the TC3 coaches are good for that, zoom in to the newspaper and you quite often see a heading that says "man discovers ctrl+shift+alt+p" or some others.
