After playing the game for a year or two now, I have seen some things that have yet to be made and some things that I wish that were changed. This thread I have stated is just some thoughts that I have gathered. It may sound like requests, if so, feel free to build and/or reskin. Here are my thoughts:
(and yes, I know that I can reskin things to meet my standards)
1: Being a Rio Grande freak, I would run tank trains over passes. These tank cars are the C.O.N.X cars by Prowler. However, the main tank cars were the GRAMPS cars used on the San Juan Branch. It would be nice to see both framed and framless versions with ARN and loadable products like Crude Oil, Natural Gas, Petroleum, ect and weathered versions too.
2:
A) There are only 2 cabooses lettered for the Rio Grande (again Prowler's work). They are good, yet they could use some updating. I wish that there was an interior like on his RGS long caboose, mainl the interior and exterior veiws (and I know that I could reskin that, yet the single window on the side of the coupla would not be historicaly correct to some people, not just me). Maybe some ARN and random weathering would add some more realism too.
B) There were some short cabooses used on other parts of the railroad. The short RGS models work well, however, whenever I try to put D&RGW lettering on it, it gose all weird. When I say that, there is lettering on the coupla side, and text backwards ( ie ednarG oiR = Rio Grande). So far, I have been using a blank model that has the red wood texture on it. It would be nice to have ARN and good lettering on it.
3: So has any body relize that the K-27 whistle is off? Is there an appropriate hooter whistle out there? One that sounds like the one off of the 463?
4: Who would like to see the K-37 and C-21 with working cabs, products(coal, sand, water) and steam whistles. Preaty much, how the K-36s are. Maybe with diffrent models with weathering and numbers too.
I hope that somebody out there can know what I am talking about. I am aware of the Attachment Maker and resking, yet I am a noob that refuses to do work that they don't know where to begin with. IF that makes sense. Like I said. If its looks like to you this is abunch of requests, and you feel like you need a new project, feel free to do anything that I have stated. If you have any more ideas or thoughts about more Rio Grande equipment, feel free to post them here.
