Careful carrying all that expensive cameara gear in bad areas ... Once on the Altoona Station walkbridge two guys dressed in obvious Goodwill "hand me down" dress jackets surrounded a photographer that had alot of gear ... I shouted to the photograper and I ran to help him ... and the duo shyly took off.

Spray mace, a friend, and a blackjack (or your good ol' trusty tripod) are good company in bad areas.
 
yea this world is filled with scum bags, I am 6'5 look like I could mess some ones day up, drive a truck that can run a person over like nothing, gotta License to carry concealed. played hockey for 10 years lol. I hope to never have to use one of my skills but my area is pretty safe but you never know
 
"Conceiled" is NR on RR property ... defending against an attacker, with such a device can bring big time charges (even in your own home). ADW, AH, V MS ... etc ...

When on RR property I carry a "Dummy" wallet, with only 4 bucks in it, and only my drivers licence ... ya' never know when a big fat Penguin might jump out from behind a schnowdrift, and mug ya' !

Um...no. I carry and it's never been an issue, even on public transit. I don't know about formal RR policy toward employees, but I know of even some employees carrying. The numbers suggest that "gatz" are quite good and the good outweighs the bad by several orders of magnitude. That said, I don't advise trespassing on RR property anyway, regardless of carry status.
 
I never had one issue rail fanning and hope in general i will never have to use self defense. I am lover not a fighter lol. ill have some videos up tonight
 
Thanks Man, its a cheap Flip ultra HD my sis won as gift and re gifted to me and is so simple and gets the job done. I am not hardcore with rail fanning. the NS vid the background noise is a ARMY recruiter training..
