I am (slowly) building a large route making liberal use of seasonal textures and trees. My goal is a route that through manipulating layers, sessions, saving different versions, etc. would provide as much variety as possible for different scenarios so after spending a lot of time on it, I won't get bored with it! I want to be able to run in different weather, but also set up challenges like disabled trains to get around, brush fires near the tracks, 'police activity,' and so on.
When creating a snowy scenario (even a blizzard!), I was thinking of saving a copy of the route where I do a global find and replace of the couple of track types I use with snow-covered tracks. But I was wondering if there are any other options? I recall from a previous thread that there are no "seasonal" tracks that will change with the snow elevation. Is that correct? But I was also wondering if there were any 'snow tracks' that have an effect of snow getting thrown up by the wind of a passing train?
Many thanks for any suggestions!
