Sliding Doors

Could some one please tell me some Kuid numbers for Rolling stock with animated Doors? I'm using Trainz 2004 Build 2365.
I've searched the DLS using "Animated....Animation.. Sliding...Operating.... Doors" as keywords but nothing comes up.

Majekear has made a nice series of 40 ft boxcars with animated doors (during the loading and unloading processes). He has too many to list individually, but basically any 40 ft boxcar that he made since November 2007 have this animation (his first was "40ftBoxcar ACY 772 LARS" [kuid2:56063:101102:1]).

Sliding doors

Hi franglen,

for passenger stock look under kuid 54662 I think all the items for TRS2004
have sliding doors, not sure about the earlier models.

Flanglen, sorry to say that to my recall all the animated sliding door freight cars (so far only 40 foot boxcars) that I have placed so far on the Download Station are for TRS2006, not TRS2004. These cars also have automatic assigned running numbers (althought you can resign a number of your liking). I have not tested them to see if they will operate in TRS2004, although I know from other cars I created, it was necessary to make certain changes in the config.txt file to get them to work properly in TRS2004. If they need revision, I can't say when I might do them in TRS2004 mode. Still have many more to do in TRS2006 first.

Look for some PRR Stock Cars which work with the Animated Cattle Feed Lot.

Thanks majekear and CasyJ. I was hoping to find something that would pass for QR Rolling Stock. I have TRS2004 & 2006 installed but to be honest I prefer TRS2004. That CMP drives me nuts. 04 is a lot easier and I have enough grey hair as it is.

Here's a list of some passenger rolling stock with animated doors (not necessarily sliding). Dunno if it's any use to you. The list includes built-in assets and some of the other items may not be available on DLS. Anything Australian is probably available as a Razorback asset pack. - John

Hi franglen,

After you finish checking that lot out :hehe: :hehe: there is also the Pulman set by andi06. Not only do they have animated doors, they also have courtesy lights over the doors which come on when the doors open. All this and three interchangable liveries. Of course with all this they are fairly high in pollys but they are really well made and worth a look.
