It took me a while to learn ... and I am still learning.

It took me, 3 months to figure out that you could download loco's, cars, and other assets, and 1 year to figure out that you could lay your own tracks and make a route.:hehe:

Proper track spacing of parallel tracks, curvitures, and textures are arts that that take alot of practice.

Nice start. You should dowload tundra's trees, shrubs, and grass i use them one my routes and look very good. Cascade is right u need to work on you track spaceing, and building placement but u have a good start! What i usualy do is make most of the track first. Then decorte one spot fullly on the map. I use google earth to help me. U can use street veiw to to see what the trees and shrubs look like. Also use the ruler tool to help u with the track placement.

But like cascade said you won't wake up and become a great route builder. it took me 4 years to perfect it. I didn't even know the was a fourms till lake 2009! So what i am trying to say is... things take time. :)
