Signalling a junction.

Hi All
I am having trouble signalling a junction.
I am using a Right Branch Semaphore and cannot get the branch to signal.
So far I have placed a Track End and an Invisible Signal on this fairly short branch.
The Switch will work and the loco sails through ignoring the signal to reach its track mark.
I've checked working routes but cannot see anything missing.

Pull the signal a little further back from the point, it may light up then. I have one and the aspects work but not the right filter.

Try this

Hi

Looking at your photos there is no locomotive in the picture. If you mouse over the signal do you get the message "No train approaching"? If you do place a locomotive just before the signal.

If you haven't already, you may want to take a look at the "Introduction to Signaling" section on this website.

It helped take some of the headache from setting up signals when I was getting the hang of them. More specifically, it covers some caveats about signal placement at junctions.

Hi Rog

Which version of Trainz are you running? The junction signal in the picture looks like one of those from TRS2006 in which case it won't be scripted to work with the feathers. If you have TC3 or the SnC add on try using one of the built in signals in it's place.

I also notice that you have a signal after the junction on the main line. Have you tried placing one on the branch after the junction to see what happens?

I have 2010ee and using 'LMS home right branch bracket' that sits in Surveyor.
I have moved the loco up to the signal, checked track and loco direction, ( critical according to info I have gathered) added signals, but if the signal is unsuitable I'll try another.
Need to keep with semaphore if possible due to the period.

I have replaced the signal with one of the LMSR series and have four locos circling the layout. It is now behaving normally.
My Bookmarks are now swollen with tutorials and hints ;)
Must remember that even if something is sitting looking at you in Surveyor it may not be suitable.
