signaling loops

I have trouble getting signals to work properly in loops. I lay the loop track in one direction. Of coarse it is reversed when it comes back to the junction from which it started. This is unavoidable. Is there a special way of handling loops? They are not covered in any directions I have downloaded from trainz. Some times, and this seems random, a train will get a red signal even though tracks are clear ahead. Can anyone direct
me to the correct signal placement that will allow the AI trains to operate properly. Thanks. Robert Graves.
