Shunters

Hi,
Sorry if this is in the wrong section...

I've been searching through the internet trying to find what present day UK shunters/engines are used to move wagons/carriages etc. around a working yard?
There seems to be a few,But what, if any are the mostly used shunters of today.
If you know of any websites on this,I'd like to read up on this

There's still a few 08s in use - probably more of those than anything else.

I think Hanson Plc at Whatley quarry have an American EMD SW7 shunter, switcher as the Americans call them, working there.

Also this shunter at Mendip quarry, don't know who the manufacturerer is though.

Thanks for that both...really a big help there ..I'll look on the DLS for these now to see if you two have done any...

Can i pick your brains once more..
Would/Do Engines come from other yards to pick wagons etc. or would they all be placed in the same yard ...not the shunters i'd guess they'd stay at the same yard as the wagons etc.?
