I took a break from working at Sunrise City Beach two weeks ago and on Memorial Day last week, but I have now returned to it.
Starting off, I decided to replace the road splines with "painted" roads and markings, and I think I like how they look. This also meant replacing the tracks with ones I found by Frank_Dean, which means the tracks now sit level with the road. Also working on adding car traffic with an ATLS system at every intersection that has traffic lights.
Decided to alter this part of the construction side by adding a modular office (perhaps this is where the construction workers clock in/out as well as having meetings and lunch breaks) along with traffic cones so that drivers can move over.
Finally, having been inspired by MSGSapper's recent uploads to the DLS honoring notable Trainz creators, I opted to do the same by naming some streets after some amazing Trainz content creators and converters. So far, I just have him and a few of the Jointed Rail folks as street names here, and more will be named as I progress in developing this route.
In order from the first screenshot besides MSGSapper:
R. Vince Ave is named after Ryan Vice, aka ryanstrains
Cornell St is named after Justin Cornell, aka norfolksouthern37
Rasmussen Ave is named after Ryan Rasmussen, aka Therock
Cyr Ave is named after Mike Cyr, aka 22alpha
As far as I know, these folks are part of Jointed Rail, who have provided us with some amazing trains, rolling stock, scenery, and routes to name few.
And that's about it for now! More screenshots will come later. Also, remember that champion crane truck I shared in my last post here? I've gone ahead and uploaded it to the DLS, ensuring that I mentioned that it's a reskin of davesnow's crane truck. Look for <kuid:550644:101559> once it's up on the DLS within the next 36 to 48 or so hours.
