Shorlines using Jointed Rail & RR Mods Locomotives

I've made a route using the Highland Valley Industries route and need to find a shortline or regional railroad using one or more of the following locomotives:
Millwaukee Road SD45
Southern Pacific SD45
Southern Pacific SD40T-2
Santa Fe SD45
Santa Fe C30-7
Santa Fe/BNSF Dash 8-40BW (I've got both the Santa Fe painted one and the BNSF painted one)
Santa Fe GP60M
Santa Fe GP60B
SECX GP38-2
I also need the numbers these locomotives have on those shortlines or regionals. The railroad doesn't have to have all these locomotives on it's roster, just at least one of them. Can anyone help me find a railroad who uses these locomotives?

Do you mean "former" locomotives? That may be hard to find, or not depending on your skills gleaning information from the net. I don't know if anyone will be able to say "oh yeah, the such and such railroad uses former SP SD45s!" off the top of their head!

Of the locomotives on your list, the one most likely to be used by shortlines is the SECX GP38. Shortlines would be unlikely to have any of the others because they just don't need that much power, and the rail may not support the weight of the other units.

Milwaukee and SP SD45s - I do not know the fate of these locomotives but chances are they were scrapped. SD45s were good pullers, but at the lower notches they tended to drink more fuel. If you want SD45s your best bet is to go with an EX BN SD45, as they were sold to shortlines and regionals.

SP SD40T-2 - Look no further than the Squeak. (NYSW) (They also had a bunch of BN SD45s)

ATSF SD45 - I think a few of WC's SD45s were ex ATSF, but I might be wrong. They may be all BN.

ATSF C30-7 - Most were scrapped. Some went to Helm Leasing. If you are looking for some nice ATSF GE stuff though, SMS currently has two beautiful GEs running in New York. B23-7s (you can kinda fudge them with a B30-7)

Dash 8 - CN has some now I think. No shortlines as far as I know.

GP60M/B - not sure about the Bs but I think that all of the As are still on BNSF. B units tend to be avoided by shortlines due to the lack of utility.

GP38-2 - no idea about the SECX ones, but GP38s, 38-2s, 40s and 40-2s are your best bet for shortlines. They are good locos that have good reliability.

Your best bet if you want this roster is to make your own fictional shortline.

Nah, I spent some time looking things up. I just figured I would be helpful now that I understood what he was asking.

I must say that the reason why I listed the SD45's and all the other six-axle locomotives is because:
1. They were freeware or built-in. I only do freeware, not payware.
2. I included the GP60B because of Norfolk Southern's RP14BD Gensets #2120 and 2121. They are cabless and are remote controlled, and without cabs, they remind me of B units. That's why I listed the GP60B.
3. The Highland Valley Industries is made up of the squares in the shape of a rectangle, with a double-track mainline running around the base of a mountain and a small branchline climbing the mountain with grades of up to 2%. The branchline is the shortline's route. I included the SD45's, SD40T-2 and C30-7's both because of these grades, and there are two coal mines located on this branch.
4. The Dash 8-40BW is because BNSF is selling off their fleet of ex-Santa Fe Dash 8-40BW's.

One thing you can do with SD45s, as they were soled off, some new owners of the second hand units had them depowered to SD40 ratings, I forget who but remember reading about this some time ago.

Oops  then rrpicturearchives.net is wrong.

Some picture sites have this problem, marking pictures wrong, even worse are the ones where you can tell what is in it but they are marked UNKNOWN.

We get a lot of UP power now between Belfair, WA and Centralia, WA on the PSAP hauling garbage trains. Seems they consolidate them here in Shelton, WA and the UP takes them in one big whach...60 or so cars at a time. Power is usually 3 SD90s. Where as before the PSAP used to take the garbage all the way to Centralia via Elma, WA.
