SESSIONS KNOWLEDGE NEEDED

A seemingly unfix-able situation has me stumped.
If anyone with sessions knowledge can help with this impasse
I would be grateful for any advise on solving problem.
Scenario;
TRS 2006: Train loads coal - Engines (twin) run back around train on a triangle setup. All goes well until the final set of commands that will bring the engines back to the loaded coal trucks.
The command sequence is as follows; After leaving the apex of the triangle
Engines drive to trackmark ' B '- two wait 10 second commands followed by a 'change train direction'. These commands are obeyed.
To recouple to the train engines must cross one point that has changed the path for the returning engines. There has been a drive to track mark
before the point (A)another immediately after it(C) and another drive to TM
immediately in front of the now front end of the train (D) followed by a
'couple to' command.
Problem arises after engines change direction and drive to TM (trackmark)
(A) the engines stop short of that (A) TM which has acknowledged the
command and has removed itself from the icon bar!.
I set up a duplicate track and trackmarks in create new, and all the
commands were obeyed. Have tried going through any number of variations including the removal of tree splines adjacent to the problem area, trying a variation of drive to and via trackmarks all proving futile. My last attempt
was to remove TM's (A) & (C), but found the engines to faulter further back at a command at the apex of the triangle.
Any constructive advise welcomed.

It is quite possible that you will need a signal of some kind behind the string of wagons you are trying to couple with, especially if they are on a dead-end siding. Try an invisible signal somewhere down the track close to the end of the line and see if this helps?

hmmmm seems a run around train command should do the trick in one scoop without all those other commands and trackmarks unless you have a signal at the originating end of train which would give it a red and void it to coupling the train..........?

Session Knowledge Needed

Cheers for the 'session knowledge' you guys.

Problem was eventual solved by dual means.

The 'invisible signal' served to initiate the engines over the problem

area were they continually stalled.

Another stalling problem prior to coupling was remedied by removing

a track mark immediately prior to the couple to wagon X command.

So goes to show 3 heads are better than one.

G'Day Ross,

It's good to hear that with help from others you got your problem solved and it's even better to get the results posted here because this means that our help is ongoing and others can benefit as well. Three heads are certainly better than one! Happy Trainzing!

Cheers
Russell.
