Service Pack / Assets questions

last night, installed SP1 for 2006. Heving read the forums, followed the instructions very carefully. Did not start Trainz, and removed Assests file, etc, before loading SP1
When done, had in the lower right corner the new version number and build number.
However...
I went into Surveyor to adjust a piece of scenery in Marias Approach.
After a hour and half, surveyor had not finished loading.
Control-Alt-Deleted out to Windows.
This morning, went into CMP, and got a message saying it was updating the Assets file, that went on for 45 minutes before I left for work - it was still running went I left.
Is this normal ?
Can anybody help ?
Thanks
BJ

Hi,

I've just reinstalled and patched 2006 30 minutes ago......everything is back to normal and appears to be working fine.
I didn't remove assets file before installing SP1...don't think this is part of the procedure...(perhaps you meant to say something else) I just set the 2006 files TRS2006 directory to write enabled before patching.

2006 SP1 Instructions

Does anyone know where I can get the installation instructions for 2006 SP1 - the link on the support site is broken at this time.

See here. I also went to here and it displayed SP1's installation guide.

And yes the link works.
