Senior Rail Card leaves out a bit of the UK!

I have a Senior Rail Card which is a brilliant saver for UK rail travel but it does not cover N. Ireland. Considering that it has the only publicly owned railway in Britain totally covered general taxpayers that is a bit disappointing!! It is a light-hearted point so no shouting please. :D

Indian gauge is 46mm wider than Irish. Of late I've been very fascinated by this incredible railway too. The NI nationalized system is also one of envy and absolutely puts all of mainland UK's privatized rail to shame.

People over 65 in Northern Ireland are entitled to a Senior Smartpass which allows them to avail of free train and coach travel across the whole island but which aren't valid in Britain.

Just the same in reverse pfx that mainland passes cannot be exercised in Ni which is part of the same country even if parted by water!
