I am trying to put a new Signature image into my Use CP. It's on Imageshack but whatever I post doesn't show.

Can anybody help please?

800x100 Pixels I think.

A) It can be any size upto 800x100 px

B) Make sure you are using the full link not the short one and also make sure you are not going over the limit on charicters allowed (It will say at the top after attempting to save if you have)

Confused

I am confused with the amount of options in Imageshack. I tried most of the but just got a square with arrows in it.
Is the the Direct Link, Forum Code or html Code please?

I also tried using the Imsert Image option in the Sig menu and a direct Paste.

Post re-instated. The Direct link does work.

Yes, the direct link that works fine,

copy the direct link and paste it into the box that appears when you press the add image button on the edit sig page

Edit: and for a more traditional member profile URL:

I doubt there's anything 'special' about his account, other than it's somehow triggered a remarkably obscure bug in the forum software.

What I meant was through his user name in the posts. It should be the same as all the others, with the activity light showing green when he is on the forums.

As mentioned the image should be no higher than 100 and no longer than 800.

What the folks haven't mentioned, and the most important part - it must be under 30kb. This is what the signature police, of which I admit to be one, really look for.

Your current signature has the following link:

Your new Photobucket link should be similar. I've never used any of these sites, but they usually supply you with an embedding link, or you just copy the link in the Address Bar and paste it into the image link in your Signature profile.

If you continue to have problems, I can host the sig for you and supply you with a working link. Just PM me if you want to go down that path. You can then try different things with Photobucket over time.

Me again!

I ordered TS2010 last weekend but I haven't received it yet so I don't have a serial number. At the time, there didn't seem to be an option to download a copy and there was a free copy of 2004 offered (while supplies last) if I did it by snail-mail.

Is that why I can't seem be able to update my profile beyond user name and password, because I don't have an S/N?

That could be the reason. Take no notice of the posts regarding your user name. We have had some bogus member's on the forum lately, who are trying to get links to assets. Possibly to pirate them. Hope you get it sorted soon.

As you can all see, I got it in the end - both ends in fact...

It took 3 attempts but I am endowed with a fair amount of patience.

Thanks to all who contributed - Nice, isn't it? At least it is an up-to-date picture.

The next two are one of a place at Froxfield on my WCL2 and the same place on my route - just in case you wondered.

EDIT :- When I looked the picture was blank. I reinstated and it shows there but doesn't seem to on pages! Image size is 100 x 730, so inside the 100 x 800 allowed. I knew this would happen, whenever I try to change things they always go haywire.

That's odd again. When I pasted that picture in it showed on the thread, even after moving to another page. Just come back to the forum and that one's gone as well. What the dickens is going on?
