Selling Trainz to order.

Greetings to all;

I like Trainz and go back to the first issue of the SIM. I bought 2009 but took it off the machine because the graphics demand is more than I want to endure learning. I use both gmax and Blender. But, I digress.

As I have said, I don't use assets made by others--most don't fit my route visions. I use Paint Shed to make my own rolling stock.

My point?

Well, I think Auran should sell a specialty version of Trainz, such as an edition that has no assets. Reason? I don't use built-in assets and find them a waste of drive space. In fact, for a fee, Auran could sell modified versions for those who don't want assets that don't fit into their category. Too much trouble? I'd pay extra to get a only-the-table-top version and put something else in the freed-up drive space.

I know that I'll be given a reason by one or by many why that isn't practical. Well, I guess I'll keep that money in my wallet instead of passing it on to Auran.

There is no money in custom-made products?

Auran still sell caps and T-shirts?

Cheers.

When installing 2010 if you choose I think it was the custom method, there was an option to just install the basic program without the content.

I would imagine that removing the correct ja files might achieve the same thing though?

Just reinstall it then. The basic installation is very small in size and yes, it does offer you that option. If you worry about your custom content that's already installed - archive it in CMP before reinstall.

I would consider it but I don't feel like the hassle. Is there an option to just install US content? That is what I would like most.
