I've been searching for some screens showing the way trees use different seasons in 2010 but can't find any.
Example a shot taken at the same spot in surveyor showing the same group of trees and how they would look in the 4 seasons.
Anybody?
Hi Fastdraw
As TS2010:EE is not released yet, the only place you will find any screenshots of TS2010 assets is on the TS2010 website. We plan to release further information and media on TS2010 in the lead up to the release.

Hate to start getting the jitters again, shades of 2009....
13 Days to go to release, advertised feature...Seasonal Trees
13 days to implement, check, beta test and approve.
13 days and no possible screenshots as yet.
13 keeps cropping up, scary.
I'm almost afraid to ask for a nice screen of a beautiful, colorful autumn maple speedtree which I haven't been able to find either?
oh! Oh!

Interestingly, the idea of four distinct seasons symbolised by deciduous tree leaf colour change and leaf shedding is very much a Northern Hemisphere one. Here, in New Zealand, native trees do not lose their leaves in autumn but remain fully leafed throughout the year - some sporting somewhat different leaf form dependant upon the season, others not changing at all throughout the seasons.
As well as this, a number of native New Zealand trees have a quite different leaf form, texture and colour when seedling and sapling compared with leaf form, texture and colour when mature and unaffected by season..
There are exotic (introduced) trees here which exhibit colour change and leaf shedding with the seasons - hence they look somewhat 'out of place'.
In the tropics and equatorial locations, the seasons are rather less defined - generally (and this is an oversimplification) the rainy season and the dry season. Leaf form change or shedding is not prevalent, with growth rate and seed production being the primary seasonal indicators.
As with all simulators, the pursuit of so-called 'reality' is problematic.
for the geography lesson, I had just assumed that your 'seasons' were the opposite of ours.
Trouble is, if I don't see this feature working in 2010 in 10 days when it ships I'll just have to assume that all the trees in Australia never change color. lol
But then if I could get a beautiful autumn Canadian Maple to change in the seasons I'd be HAPPY or even a screenshot earlier. Wonder if anybody's listening. Auran?
Oh well, 10 days to go
(there's that 10 again)
Look up the term NDA = Non-Disclosure Agreement.
I do know at least one person who hinted at being a TS2010EE beta tester. They have to agree to NDAs and that includes no screenshots.
As I see it, the less time Auran spends posting public screenshots, that's more time working on the product and with beta testers.
Enduring the countdown is easier if you find something else to do instead of counting.
