Searching Trains Menu

Hello.

When using the F7 (Trains) menu in surveyor, is it possible to repeat a search in order to find the second (or third, etc.) match for a given string? I find that often the first match isn't the one that I want.

Also, does anyone have any tips for handling the trains list once it grows to several thousand entries, as I'm sure it has done for many folks here. Obviously the region and company filter are helpful, but is there anything else?

Yeah, favorites is a bit of a crude tool. Though now that you mention it I might try using it specifically for something like freight cars, which can be much harder to find than locomotives.

So either nobody else has this problem or nobody has an answer.

My method of last resort is to fire up the CMP and use its search tool to find what I'm looking for, carefully note the exact name, then go back into surveyor and type it in.

Be nice if there was a more powerful search in surveyor.
