Searching the forums

Once again I need help. Some time ago on one of the forums a text editor that would open in read all or most of Auran/N3V file types. Two questions:

1 How should I search for that mention?

2 Does anyone remember what I'm looking for?

Thanks!

Thanks Shane, that answers question 2 just fine.

Now if someone could tell me how to set up a search for such info I would not need to bother y'all the next time.

Mac,

Don't bother with the forum search except when you know very specific things like for example the name of the poster.

Try Gooooogle and something like "Trainz Forums your search text here".

There is a way of querying the specific site but I can't think of it right now, after midnight and brain dead!

Cheers

The site-specific search feature in Google can be used by adding 'site:<site address>' (without the quotes).

Also, if it's a particular forum thread that you keep needing to go back to, add it to your favourites/bookmarks.

headley, I should warn you that advertising in posts on these forums is not permitted.

macclarke, to answer your first question, search for ConTEXT in the forum search facility.

Thanks all

I'll give Google a try.

Shane I tried searching for ConText but it seems forum search is not case sensitive and most hits were for context . Only one I found for ConText was your post above. I did not look through all the multi-page hits. I can see the red type if I look hard, but my color blindness makes it pretty hit or miss when scanning page after page of text.

I'm sure it is there somewhere but if there is no way to narrow down the search, it does not help much.

Thanks again!
