Script Failure Question.

When I open one particular route, I get a notice in the upper-left corner that reads: "Script Failure <kuid:335892:" Unfortunately, the rest is cut off by the edge of my screen." I've played with different resolutions, both on my monitor and in the game. I cannot figure out what script is failing in order to fix it. Is there a way to get Trainz to tell me what script it is?

You should be able to see the full message in the logs. In the splash screen go to Developer and use the command Show Client Logs.

The logs can get very crowded with all the validation messages so you might need to use the Clear Logs command then try opening the route. Add a filter at the top right to say "script failure".

I have followed your directions. I cleared the client logs. I reopened the game. I opened the route. I went to the client log. When I added "script failure", nothing appeared. When I searched for "script," I found nothing saying anything about script failure. I am not sure what I am doing incorrectly. BTW, I also searched "335892" and did not see anything suggesting script failure. I guess I won't worry about it until I find something not working correctly.

The asset is one of yours (a route?) and you are using the latest beta version of Trainz. You might consider submitting the issue to N3V devs.

Try this, Jeff.

On the Launcher
Click on Trainz Settings
Click on Dev tab.
Enable advanced debugging tools if it isn't enabled
Click on Show script exception notifications.

This will enable the red bug

When the red bug appears, click on it and a window will open up showing script errors. Clicking on one of them may expand the error displaying the error in detail and the line the exception occurred at. You can highlight that information, and copy it using CTRL-C or right-clicking and choosing copy.

Once you capture your error(s), you may want to disable this setting again.
