I'd have preferred a longer tie-voting too but a winner must be picked by Wednesday each week so that the newsletter can include that week's screenshot.

A tie happens a lot and not everyone visits the forum everyday.
I think an easy solution for this would be to have the week from Sunday to Sunday (again) so that in case of a tie there are 3 days for the tie-breaker.

A good idea, thank you for your suggestion. I will implement this in the next competition.
