Spring in the Great Smokies. (Warning:1024X768 Image size)

Ah spring in the Great Smoky Mountains.
The scent of blooming Dogwoods and wildflowers fills the air and the sounds of birds chirping with the babble of a distant creek in the background.
Welcome to Ebony Gap Tennessee.
It is 9:00am when the twice daily passenger train makes it's stop in Ebony Gap. Large power is used because there is a daunting 4.5% grade out of Ebony Gap to Gainesville.
Mail is delivered by train from Gainesville and then taken by horseback to the homes in the cove.
The date is May 23rd 1913.

The following is intended as good humor:

I think Mr Evans has it in for me.:(

When I posted the shot of the Edmund Fitgerald, it was for a no theme week, then, like the next week he asks for water shots!

When I posted the shot of the Crusader at my mock up Art Deco station, it was for a no theme week, now...he asks for stations!:'(

I'll see what he asks for next time there's a theme after a no theme week, chances are it will be whatever I enter the week before!:D

I know how you feel Ed, today I've taken screenies, in the countryside, in the city, in the rain, on mountains in the snow, in fog down by the docks, over bridges, into tunnels, under electric catanery, turntables and yard shots, and guess what.....He wants a blinking station screenshot, and I haven't taken any.....:'(:hehe:
