GC&T Local headed by 4-6-0 #9, sits at the Central Station while the GCRY express headed by one of their 4-8-4s thunders into town.

A busy moment at Wattle Creek (Warning 1024x800 image)

Here's my entry:

The afternoon of Friday 5th of May, 1978 sees an busy moment at the normally silent station of Wattle Creek. 4442 and 4524 (out of view) drag the rear of No. 254 Up goods from Wallangarra over the crest of the grade and through the yard as 42215 looks on while waiting for the guard's whistle to take the Down Brisbane Express to Wallangarra. 4853 is waiting in the up refuge with No325 Down goods to Wadalbavale waits for a clear path on the down main after 42215 has cleared the block. Meanwhile, bank locos 48151 and 4892 slink back to the shed for a well earned rest after assisting 254 Up goods.
